Three dwarf jade bonsai in late sun on a weathered wooden shelf, beside swirled handmade pots and a Zion Bonsai care card

Bonsai workshops · Manti, Utah

Put the phone down.
Pick up a tree.

Two hours, a little soil under your nails, and a dwarf jade in a handmade pot that goes home with you. No experience needed.

Zion Bonsai

Zion Bonsai cultivates stillness, curiosity, and connection — one tree at a time.

Why Zion?

Our name comes from two places close to our hearts. The first is Zion National Park, where the red rock and quiet canyons showed us what peace feels like. The second is what Zion means: a people of one heart and one mind. That idea is rooted in our faith and shared by many traditions. Through the ancient art of bonsai, we want to help nurture the Zion in all of us, connecting us to nature, to God, and to each other. Ten minutes a day with a tree can settle a busy mind and help us show up a little calmer, a little kinder, and more present for the people around us.

Four participants lean over a round table, hands in soil, repotting a dwarf jade bonsai

Hands in the dirt, phones nowhere.

Why unplug

Two hours. Hands full of soil.

Central Utah is full of beautiful outdoor recreation, but not many places to unplug, work with your hands and make something living.

So that’s the table we built. Phones away, no pressure to be perfect, just soil, tools, good company and a tree that’s yours to grow. You don’t need a green thumb. You just need to show up.

What to expect

  • Phones face-down for two hours.
  • No experience needed. Never touched a bonsai? Perfect.
  • We bring the trees, the handmade pots, the soil and the tools to use.
  • You leave with your own dwarf jade in a handmade pot, plus the care basics.
  • Come back in six to nine months and we’ll shape it again.

Who you’ll learn from

An old art, made new at the table.

Bonsai has a thousand years of tradition behind it. We love that, and we skip the gatekeeping.

Landon brings the soil, the roots and the technique. Cass brings a floral designer’s eye and the belief that you don’t force a tree, you listen to where it wants to go.

Private & corporate events

Bring your people to the table.

Wellness retreats, team days, school programs, private parties. We bring the trees, the pots and the tools; you bring the people who could use two hours away from their screens.

“There was something so grounding about getting my hands in the soil and reconnecting with nature. It truly felt rejuvenating and helped me unplug from everything else.”
